Yvoire can only be visited on foot - the only people that can drive in the medieval village are residents. So arrive by private transfer, stroll through the narrow streets lined with picturesque houses and watch the marina life from one of its port-side cafés. Although the Chateau of Yvoire cannot be visited, the view from a private boat transfer is unique. After visiting Yvoire, you can jet then across the lake to the Swiss city of Geneva or Lausanne, with free time to browse in the elegant shops and perhaps photograph the Geneva’s famous landmark Le Jet d’Eau. Alternatively a short boat transfer will take you to Nernier, which shares Yvoire's medieval history and is home to a delicious lake-side restaurant. Also recommended in Yvoire; the Restaurant du Port and the Pré de la Cure. Yvoire is home to the Garden of Five Senses - Le Jardin de Cinq Sens, a labyrinth to get lost in and a real treat to your senses.
Yvoire is a setting right out of a romantic period novel, come and revel its history. Let Léman Transfers take you there by boat or by private taxi transfer. |
